My name is Samantha Carbon (UKCP) and I believe we are all a ‘work in progress’. I am a highly qualified London psychotherapist would love to help you overcome the challenges that you are facing in order to help you live life to the full.

I believe we can all benefit from counselling by taking some time out for ourselves. You may be reluctant to enter therapy because you fear that therapy will be painful, however, it is about releasing pain. While therapists treat depression and anxiety, amongst other conditions, therapy doesn’t have to be painful and I see it as a place for growth and self-discovery. Clients seek therapy because they long for deeper meaning in their lives or a greater sense of peace. I provide an environment you can look forward to coming to where you will feel understood, safe, and protected. I believe clients are the experts on their experiences and that the aim of my role as a therapist is to support you to make sense of these experiences and hopefully introduce new perspectives. I believe that establishing a safe confidential setting in which past failures can be re-experienced allows clients to test their responses and understand their feelings safely.

I have supported clients from all walks of life, all of whom have undergone challenges of varying shapes and sizes, including: Depression, anxiety and anxiety-associated conditions such as social anxiety and panic attacks, trauma – including PTSD and abuse, low self-esteem, substance abuse, addiction and recovery, life transitions such as career changes and stress, dissatisfaction with your job or career, problems with relationships and intimacy, loss of a loved one.

My particular expertise lies in: Anxiety, addiction, sexuality and gender concerns, bereavement & loss, stress & anger management, couples therapy, low self-esteem, panic disorders and generalised anxiety disorder.
