My name is Samantha Carbon (UKCP) and I believe we are all a ‘work in progress’. I am a highly qualified psychotherapist based in London and would love to help you overcome the challenges that you are facing in order to help you live life to the full.
I believe we can all benefit from counselling by taking some time out for ourselves. You may be reluctant to enter therapy because you fear that therapy will be painful, however, it is about releasing pain. While therapists treat depression and anxiety, amongst other conditions, therapy doesn’t have to be painful and I see it as a place for growth and self-discovery. Clients seek therapy because they long for deeper meaning in their lives or a greater sense of peace. I provide an environment you can look forward to coming to where you will feel understood, safe, and protected. I believe clients are the experts on their experiences and that the aim of my role as a therapist is to support you to make sense of these experiences and hopefully introduce new perspectives. I believe that establishing a safe confidential setting in which past failures can be re-experienced allows clients to test their responses and understand their feelings safely.
