Bereavement & Loss
Losing someone you love can be a wildly lonely and confusing experience. Your periods of intense grief can be followed by a few hours of feeling normal—even happy—and then feeling guilt about those normal, happy feelings. One minute the loss hardly seems real…and the next minute it feels like the only real thing in your life.
Bereavement is a natural but painful response to loss. As a psychotherapist in London I can support you to manage your grief. Everyone’s experience of grief and bereavement is unique. I can support you through the stages of grieving so you can feel more able to cope with your loss.
Any loss needs to be acknowledged for us to move forward. Bereavement can mean finding a suitable place for the lost person, pet, object or event, to allow life to continue with adaptation and change without or not forgetting or wiping out the memory.
